I love backyard weddings! They are always sweet and intimate with their friends and family. Jaclyn knew at the moment she was prepping for the big day that her wedding would be under the gorgeous old oak tree on her family’s stunning ranch. I’m not going to lie when we were laying out her timeline I took a big gulp when she said she was going to have a 10 am ceremony. One I had never photographed a wedding that early and two, I thought the preparations would have to start at like 4am. Luckily Jaclyn had a total dream team of sisters and family to help her pull it all together. The sun rose in the perfect spot behind the tree and the clouds rolled in for plenty of shade coverage. It was a beautiful day.
Jaclyn and Trevor have known one another for what seems like forever, and according to Trevor ” I always thought Jaclyn was beautiful but I never had the courage to ask her out. It’s hard to believe that I was that close to the love of my life and never took the leap of faith until January 2017.” They made a reconnection via Facebook over 10 years after graduating high school and before they knew it they were engaged and ready to say I do to forever.
I am so honored to show these images to you, they are such a wonderful group of people both the Hicks and Rouse families. We had a great time over lunch and sent off the happy pair to their honeymoon with cheers and bells! Congratulations and thank you for choosing me to capture this beautiful time in your life!
This isn’t a mistake… Mom wanted a picture of how the girls would act when she would try to snap a pic. We all got a giggle out of this!
Jaclyn’s sister Erin put together all the brilliant florals and the circle arch too!!
What ranch wedding is complete without a cowboy and girl hat tip!?
My favorite picture I have taken of them… Insert all the heart eyes here!
