Summer Lakeside Wedding Alli + Colby

Like every good love story this one starts with a crush, a boy who really liked a girl and not having the courage to tell her until a really long time later. Hehe. No but really these two kids actually met in collage. He’s a good ol boy from the mountains and she’s a lake girl from McAlester. Alli grew up right on the lake so it only seemed fitting to get married at Lake Eufaula’s stunning venue The Pointe. I love how these two are together. They give each other a hard time and laugh so much together. We were all smiles most all of the day but there were times the big emotions came out.

Alli’s father, Trooper Eales was an Oklahoma Highway Patrolman, when she was just six years old he was tragically taken from her and her baby brother. From that moment on she has been surrounded by her “other dads” for all of her life. So it was very fitting when several of them walked her down the aisle and took turns with the daddy/daughter dance. I honestly do not think there was a dry eye in the house during that dance.

Her story really makes me think of my own life in a different way. Tonight as I am typing this I’m thinking about my own kiddo. I might wake up one day and go to work and never come home. And that’s a crazy thing to think about. It doesn’t seem like that could ever happen but I know it could. So I’m going to work harder at kissing her more, loving her grumpy butt every morning and looking at her a little longer. Cause I don’t know if I will get the chance again. I can only pray that I get to live a long and sweet life with my soon to be husband and children.

The best part of the night was all of Colby’s friends dancing the night away and when we sent them off with a sparkle! I had a blast dancing and singing with everyone. Congratulations you two, it was an absolute honor to photograph your wedding.
