I could see it in moms face… this is going to be a disaster. I felt her fear that after a rainout, the planning, the outfits and the investment this was simply just not going to work out. She said, “every time we take pictures it’s like this, I’m sorry.”  I might have giggled just a little bit because I knew that with this perfect lighting and their adorable outfits this would be far from a disaster and just about every single two year old I photograph is like this. And for all my readers just know we might not get perfectly posed Sears styled pictures but more of their personality instead, and hey that’s okay! 

When I drove up to the McAuthur Ranch I was in complete awe of it. It is literally a photographers dream. Tall flowing grasses, low hanging tree lines and well their home is gorgeous too! So just driving into some where I have never shot before had me feeling super confident. When mom came out and I saw her dress/romper I just knew this was gold. Without even meeting them (except for Chance I knew him from high school) I knew this shoot was going to be amazing.

NOW was it work? Yes absolutely we have two kiddos who are close in age and very busy so of course it was work. But the reason these were so successful is mom totally trusted me. She didn’t ask me a million questions or even question any of my shots or decisions, she just laid it in my hands and rolled with it. Thanks McAuthurs for choosing me! This is one of my favorite sessions to date!
